GREAT NEWS for Harrisonburg Artists!

Currently, the DFA Studio School is hosting weekly, non-instructional LIFE DRAWING open sessions every Wednesday evening, from 6:30 - 9:30pm. The first session was held on January 8, and we had a full house. Because space is limited, we will be operating on a first come, first served basis. If you want a better chance at getting a spot, you may wish to get here a few minutes early. 😊

Anyone in the community who wishes to draw (or paint) from a live model is welcome to attend (artists, students under 18 years of age will need a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian). Participating artists will be required to pay a $15 model fee at the beginning of each session - cash or check only please. Easels, ‘art horse’ benches, taborets and drawing boards will be provided. Artists will only need to bring their sketchpads, papers, drawing materials and selves to participate. Any artist that wishes to paint will need to bring their own painting supplies.

Even if you have never done any figure drawing, there is no time like the present to begin. Immerse yourself in this time-honored artistic tradition! See you soon!
